The Pavilion Gardens
Buxton Wool Gathering is a wool festival for yarn lovers and crafters, based at Buxton Pavilion Gardens in the Peak District. They’re a new sister event to Bakewell Wool Gathering and ran for the first time in May 2019. We’ll be returning in May 2020.
Launched in 2013 by Carole Greaves of Skeins, Bakewell Wool Gathering has gone from strength to strength each year since then. We’re delighted to be expanding to this new venue and bringing wool gatherings to you twice a year.
Whether you’re into spinning, felting, weaving, crochet, or just plain old knitting, there’s something for you. All in a stunning location with some of the friendliest, craftiest people around.
In 2019, Buxton Wool Gathering hosted over 50 exhibitors in the Octagon Room stalls selling everything you could want – wool, needles, spinning wheels and all things woolly. This historic room will be full of colour, texture and creativity in May 2020.
